I need help again...

Hello affiliiorama members

I have a quick question regarding what is legal to write for my articles on a website I am currently building.
A product was recently sent to me so I could give it a review.
I was wondering if it is okay for me to dissect information out of the product in order to write informational articles and display them to the public.

The product is a study guide.

Is this okay or will that be frowned upon?

 Not sure what you mean by "dissect". If you're posting the info, you don't want to do that because it belongs to the product creator. The other reason you don't want to do that is because if you post the product info, why would anyone bother to buy it when they can read it for free.

But it is ok to list things like the chapter titles, and talk about what you like and don't like about the product.

The best way to come up with articles is to do the keyword research and build your articles around the good ones.

 Hi Dave,

From my understanding, you want to quote some of the content in the review article that was given to you. You may as long as you provide proper acknowledgement of the author. And if possible, ask the author for permission first.

 @randeev61: What Mary is saying is that if you are going to use a portion of an article from another blog/forum, review or website, you need to make sure to credit your source. Otherwise, your article might be tagged as duplicate content, and you won't be able to get a good rank on that article.

 Remember it is a review which is your opinion of the product and it's us fullness, is it worth buying, what are it's good and bad points, who is the product targeted for, those are the points you are trying to make. If you want to read the product info and put it into your own words somewhere in the article that is what many people do just don't copy word for word becaue people will know.

 Also, it helps if you read tips on how to properly review a product. :) There are tons of tips online, you just need to find these information.

 Under Australian Copy write regulations I think it is 10%, even under that you have to be careful.
If you research the subject it is pretty clear, as this also covers pictures etc. If in doubt don't do it your reputation is not worth damaging.
If you have not had a personal experience of the product I would not personally review it. Better to be safe than sorry.
