Adwords Bridge Policy

Hi

I am a newbie to affiliate marketing. I have recently began building a save my marriage site. I was using adwords, until I received this "violation of our bridge page and misleading claims policy as the site
still bridges to multiple other sites such as
http://www.savemymarriagetoday.com/".

Google suspended my account for adwords. To get my account working again, I have had to remove all links and now rely on my responder. Has anyone experienced this?

Hi darren.ackers,

I'm sorry to hear that. Yes, Google doesn't like "bridge pages". Bridge pages are pages where a user lands on and then needs to click on a link to be taken to the website where they can purchase the product.

Have you tried using your review page as landing page? You need to have links to your other articles on the sidebar so the user can click on them. Your review page should have several reviews on the products you promote. Or you can make it just one review but make sure it is of high quality and provides information to the visitor.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

Thanks, the landing page had all links to my articles on the side bar. Is there away when somone clicks a link on my site they can go straight to a check out. At the moment I am promoting click bank products. Heres the original page that got me suspended

Hi darren.ackers,

I appreciate you posting a link to your landing page here. I think one of the reasons Google didn't like your page is because of the email opt-in form at the top of the sidebar. The article is informative, but the page itself looks too much like a homepage. I looked at your other articles and while they give value to readers, they do not look appealing at all. I suggest you use sub-headers to break down paragraphs. You can also try listing out in bullet points the important parts of your article.

I suggest you review the Google Adwords Landing Page guidelines.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

Bridge pages can also be sites that drive traffic from AdWords-compliant content to non-compliant content. You could find more information on this page: Bridge Page

You could edit then request a re-review of your website. AdWords specialists will then change the Status from "Site suspended" to its new ad status if you have successfully corrected the policy issue: Fix a suspended site

All the best!

What Google look at when approving/disapproving pages:

- navigational links above the fold?
- privacy policy linked tucked in a corner and not easy to see
- no business or contact information

A major factor for Google is what is likely to be promoted. If they like, you can get away with landing pages that seem to break all the rules. If you have an offer they don't like, good luck to you:-)
