Email to BLOG

Blogger has an option called mail to blog. With this if you send an email to a specific email address it becomes a post on the blog.
The subject is the title ... the body is the content.

So you know any other blogs that have this option available?

 hey in Wordpress, though I haven't used it, there's this option in "Settings" -> "Writing" :

Post via e-mail

To post to WordPress by e-mail you must set up a secret e-mail account with POP3 access. Any mail received at this address will be posted, so it’s a good idea to keep this address very secret. Here are three random strings you could use:

 Yes. You can post to Wordpress through email too but I haven't tried it yet, primarily because I do not need it. I guess it's handy for people who are constantly traveling or on the go.

 I have used it before and have a client that wants it also, it works quite well. If you are wanting to write simple text blog posts use the built in feature, however if you want images and more control over authors, categories etc use the Wordpress plugin called postie.

Once you have email 2 blog setup, feed your blog into one of the syndication services out there to get your posts automatically on Facebook, twitter and linkedin. Update everything from one email!

Ahhh, the wonders of technology! :) It gets more and more easier to share your thoughts online. One thing I remember about the Email 2 Blog settings on Wordpress and Blogger is that the email address needs to be dedicated to posting to your blog. Anything sent from that email address will be posted to your blog.

 Yes, make sure the email address you use is random enough to fool spammers, otherwise you'll end up with a load of [word banned] adverts on your coupon code website. make it random such as [email protected] - chances are no spammer will perform a dictionary attack on that address

 I once managed a WordPress site, however I haven't tried this one before. I've searched in Google and found out that there is this kind of option. I think this step-by-step process for posting your blog via email might be of hep to you.

 Wordpress supports posting via email by default but its features are limited. If you would rather post to your blog via email, I'd suggest that you use the Postie plugin for Wordpress instead. This plugin supports multiple users (can be used to sort your posts into categories), attach images and videos within posts and filter out email signatures.

You might want to give the plugin Mike mentioned in the previous post a try. It makes posting to Wordpress through email easier.
