cloak your e-mails

I know how to create cloaks to my affliate links within my website but how can I do that in e-mails? Also how do I create the banners in e-mails?

goo.gl works well if you're cloaking redirects but don't cloak your affiliate links with it. Did that once and my cloak link got marked as spam after 100 clicks or so.

For some reason hop links and goo.gl don't mix well.

For banners, it depends on which autoresponder service you're using.

With mailchimp there's an option to insert logos and images:

Inserting Images with mailchimp:

Just remember that some people have images set off in their email ;-)

great thanks
If you cannot use goo.gl what do you use? I am sure it is very common for affliates to send out e-mails to subscribers. How do they hide their affliate links so their e-mails dont look like spam?
Thank you.

Hey tc,

To give it a serious look i'd use a php redirect and format like http://mywebsite.com/newsletter.php

Step1: Create a file in notepad, name it newsletter.php, copy the contents below into it and save to your desktop:

The link after "Location" is your affiliate link.

Step2: Upload the newsletter.php from your desktop to the main folder or whichever subfolder you want e.g. mywebsite.com/go

So when a person reading the newsletter clicks the link http://mywebsite.com/newsletter.php (or http://mywebsite.com/go/newsletter.php depending on which folder you saved the php file to) they're redirected to your affiliate link.

When you make a sale via YOURTRACKGID you know that it's from the newsletter.

In clickbank you can find the tracking under:
Reporting -> Analytics->By tracking id (=on left side under hops)

Cheers,
Jay
