Articles Listing Twice

I set up categories and started adding my articles to the categories and publishing them. The problem is the article is show up in the category correctly however, it also lists above the categories as a single article posted just like it would if there were no categories. So basically the article is in the right side bar twice. How can I delete this single article posting in the affiloTheme and still keep the article in the category? Any help would be appreciated.

I gather that you added a categories widget to the sidebar, is that correct?

It would be better to remove the widget and then go to AffiloTheme Options > Sidebar and change Sidebar List Type to Silo.

Faradina,

Thanks for your help. I tried what you said and it worked for the most part. The categories are now only listing once. However when I click on a category the main screen shows the first articles title and the first paragraph of the article, then when you actually click on the article title in the side bar you see the whole article. Why is the first paragraph of the first article linked to the category name? How can I get rid of this?

You cannot get rid of it. That's because when you click on the category on the sidebar, you will get to the category page which lists the articles under that category and includes excerpts from the articles. That's really how it is even on other themes.
