 As far as I am concerned it's something about SEO. And this thing is directed at traffic increase, via creating special links which are pointed at each other. For example, you create several links which direct customers on one website and then on another one, finally they come to your website. Some marketers prevent other ones from using this technique, because sometimes it is not useful at all and you can lose the traffic, but as a rule it works.
If you want to try out something new, then you can use this technique, but remember that there is a risk to lose the leads and traffic.
