What's Gravity and Referred Figure?

Can anyone explain how the rating system and other confusing stat figures that clickbank gives each program works.
Its obvious what the percentage payout is and $ payout. But do the
gravity and referred figure mean ?

Hi,

Here's an explanation of Gravity:

Every time an different affiliate makes a sale, gravity gets a score added to it (clickbank don't release the exact calculation). Eg +8 points.

This declines in value each week that that affiliate goes without another sale, eg in 8 weeks time, it's value is now 0 points. I'm not sure of the calculation of this decline eg whether they half in value each week, or by an arbitrary number.

Gravity is the total score of all these. It gives you an idea of how many different people have been selling that product recently.

Referred is supposed to be the average dollar amount received by affiliates in the last 2 months.

This doesn't always appear to be accurate, but it gives you an idea of the payouts.

gwedge,

I use a program called cbengine.com to learn about the different clickbank products out there. I think it is like $9.99 for 3 months, but you can put your own aff id in there and get it for like $4.00 or something close to that.

You can get like a 15 day trial to check it out. Go here:

http://www.cbengine.com/user/acc_demo.cfm
(this is not an affiliate link)

It will let you search through clickbank products very fast and gives great explanations of all the stats and past history information.

Let me know what you think.
