Third Most Popular Social Site: Pinterest

While many people still figuring out a way on how to promote their products on Pinterest, being skeptical towards social media and not quite believing that this could bust anything in their business ..
Pinterest is here and its big.

Here is a recent article which is dedicated to show the numbers of this huge social network.

While its growing and making people crazy on the potential success from this social business , it is still not clear to everyone , which approach to pick .

Have you successfully managed to drive traffic from Pinterest to your website? I'm curious to find out if any other marketer out there uses Pinterest for driving traffic to their sites.

 I agree that Pinterest is going huge these days despite that it still has a lot of room to grow. Obviously, this social media tool has potential. I would like to see how they would come up with more detailed tracking.

 Hi,

Obviously these sites come and go. While it's good and healthy to use new traffic sources, you should be careful not to base your business and knowledge on just one or two. Pinterest has already shown signs of slowing down.

 Still not sure that someone can " base their knowledge " on this network , but if someone did, i would really like to hear some conclusions..

 Would it make sense not to use Pinterest for SEO but "optimize" your Pinterest page instead? I have been reading a lot of articles lately about Pinterest to know how this site can help online businesses. There are interesting points I came across about Pinterest and this includes the way people are using the site to discover and "bookmark" things. The problem with Pinterest is, the users' behavior is quite different with Facebook and Twitter audience. Users of Pinterest are not there to socialize; they are there to find things. So, it may be useful that you improve your Pinterest page instead; rather than just make your page as another SEO bait.

 I've heard a lot about Pinterest and read positive reviews about it. No wonder it ranks third among the latest social media hubs in virtual world. I may try registering myself to this one.

 And in addition to what was previously said: Pinterest posts are actually indexed by SEs now, especially by Google. Another way to get yourself some exposure :)

 With the success story of Pinterest, no wonder it ranks third among the most notable social networking sites in the industry. I have read a lot of article on this network and found out how it was able to put online marketing businesses on top.

 I have an account with Pinterest but I haven't did anything yet. I'm going to dedicate myself to only 3 or 4 social networks. That way I can stay focused. I have seen some results from bizsugar. I believe I will get better results and I won't be spreading myself too thin.

I agree. It is better to focus to only few social media platforms. Choose the ones that your business can benefit most from :)

 At first, I have a doubt if pinterest can really help with my business but still I make an account and promote some of my stufs and it did great. I am loving it.

 Pinterest can be a great way to promote the content on your site. It works similar to Twitter in that you get to follow people and they can follow you back. Not all niches can promote their sites through Pinterest though as Pinterest is most for sharing images.
