Should I promote multiple affiliate products?

What's the best to do, when it comes to promoting affiliate products? To focus on one single product on your affiliate site?
Or promoting multiple products(which are from the same category) at the same time on the same affiliate page?

 Promote multiple products, you will be in for a tough time if you are focusing on a single product and that bombs.

 personally, i recommend choosing 4-5 products for a single site. if you want to target more products, start a new site within the niche focused on those products.

you want to have some options but not too many. keep them tightly focused, and compare the different products to each other.

 It would be best to promote multiple products to give your visitors options. You'll also be able to offer other products to your returning customers if you have more than one product.

 One other aspect with offering "multiple" products is that one product might focus on one aspect of a niche, while another product might focus on another. Take "Learn Guitar", for example. It can be very easy to just focus on products that teach guitar. But there are several products that can support the overall goal. Just looking at what clickbank offers, there's a product on ear training (teaches how to recognize pitch even without a tuner), one that focuses on scales, and even some products about recording. While some of these might not seem directly related, they are things that someone learning the guitar might be interested in or could benefit from.

As another example, take relationships. You can find products focused on meeting people, some focused on maintaining relationships, some that help with getting your Ex back... Even some that help when things go so wrong they can't be fixed. So you can see how one can help, build on, and support each other.

So keep in mind that multiple products can "fill in the gaps" left out by another that you're also promoting.

 I agree with JMPruit. I think promoting several products on one page is effective just as long as there are not too many. I have a landing page that tells "MY STORY" and has a link that people can click to get to my affiliate page which I have listed 10 products. I highlight the top two and put the rest underneath. All are text links that redirect, directly to the product sales page. I have only had the site up for a couple of days and I made a $27.00 sale yesterday.Works for me.

 Find a "packaged niche" with multiple affiliate programs. This beats having to manage dozens of affiliate programs. Seems very simple, which it should be, but don't underestimate the effectiveness of this method of promoting multiple affiliate programs.

 I agree with everyone else here....promoting multiple products gives your viewers options....if they are not happy with one product, they always have three to five more options to choose from, which increases your chances of making a sale....just make sure that the products you promote are in line with your niche....otherwise, you may end up losing your viewer's interest and trust....

 In weight loss niche, Mark wrote articles on "How to Get Skinny Legs" and "How to Lose Double Chin', however, there is no weight loss system that focuses specifically on these subniches. Most of the weight loss systems sold on CB are about how to lose weight in general by exercising and eating a specific diet recommendation. So, if an interested buyer for example wants to lose his double chin fat and find there's no specific information on how to lose double chin fat, but only on how to lose fat in general, he will lose interest and trust. So, how do we handle this type of matter?

 The product doesn't need to be too specific. If one loses weight through exercise or diet, they would also probably lose their double chin or get skinny legs. The article provides additional information if you want to target these specific areas and actually makes your site informative and interesting.

 OK, now I'm a little confused. In the jet pack I chose, the newsletters and articles promote 13 different products. It sounds like some of you are suggesting I should drop several of those. If so, would I eliminate the articles and newsletters that discuss those products? Over half of the material provided????????? I need some guidance on this.

 Hi Lil0,

In AffiloJetpack you would put in your own individual approach to the niche and what I do myself is promote the products which are the most relevant to the approach that I took on the website itself.

But in the newsletters, I promote all the suggested products, as they would still be related to my niche.

In other words, I put in affiliate links on my site to only a fraction of the products suggested, but in the newsletter I promote everything.

That way, the content on the website is unified and targeted, and I still get to promote all products through the newsletter.

You need to create different sites if your products belong to different niches to effectively target your market.

 To make sure that the webpage does not look spammy, limit affiliate links to a single product per webpage. Of course, the restriction to a single product does not apply if your page contains a review table for three to five products.

 Promoting multiple products is good IF they are targeted and related to your site. Don't just try and chuck anything vaguely related at them as they'll not purchase. Test out different offers and products to see what works best. Mix it up a little.

 The best way would be to focus on one product. Buy you don't know if you'll sell it. So try this: promote more products until you sell one and after that focus on that one. After a while start again this process.
