They are pretty similar to each other when it comes to reading useful information. However Quora has a larger database (similar to Reddit), where almost all topics could be found there. Unlike in the forums, usually there is just one focus niche in forums, so the discussion is more specialized.

On Quora - When you look at a question, or a post, you'll first see answers that have been voted up. Things that are low value, get voted down and pushed out of your view.

Quora is like WikiPedia of the answers really. So that is the main difference, and you really more often could find some more usefull info there than in average forum for example. I post on Qoura frequently in topics l really interested and really well versed into.

Well, it's a good question. Quora and forums are almost on the same boat but in quora, the answers which have got more likes will be highlighted in the top list and Quora has a very big database where you can find answers for any kind of questions.

There is is no big difference between Quora and Forums since both are very convenient for getting as much information as you need. The only differenceis that Quor's database is larger and so you can access more information as compared to forums. Again, forums are more specialized in terms of niches as compared to Quora

Forum is more like community of some interest. With Quora you really have something like everything in your place, it's like search engine of questions with answers to such. On Quora you will not make any friends really about anything. So how does all that sounds.

Forums work in real-time, which means when a comment or message is posted, it is immediately published for anyone to see. But in the quora, your answer goes on moderation after moderation process complete it will publish.

Hey there,
There is not much difference between forums and Quora. In fact, Quora also lies in the category of forum discussion sites.
But Forums gives much independence to the users and community members whereas quora don`t. Forums also allow members to share their thoughts, reviews, and experiences which Quora does not. So basically, Quora is a forum that is restricted to Q&A.

Quora helps to find fast and clear answers to particular questions. Also, quora is more strict and formal.
Forums are more informal and users have more freedom.

The main focus of the app is to connect local questions. ... Next StoryQuora is now available in Hindi, more Indian languages are coming.

Though Quora is also a forum posting website but there are differences between Quora and other forum posting websites.
1. High Quality & genuine content is available in quora, unlike other forum websites.
2. The content available in Quora is 100% authenticated.
3. Moderator of quora is very strict about plagiarism and it took time to get your answers reflected live on quora but in few low PA DA forum posting websites, your answers get immediately reflected live.
4. There are no options for communicating with other consumers in another forum, unlike quora.

A forum is a written conversation/discussion between members of a group. whereas, Q&A is a very limited way of sharing knowledge. With comparative to forums, Q&A website is also very few.

Quora represents an advancement in curated expertise through the tried and true format of questions and answers. Quora is not designed to allow us to share our passions, hobbies, and experiences. Forums address both questions and experiences.

There is a slight difference between quora and forum posting

Forum posting is a discussion between a group of members and it will show immediately after posting and coming to quora is sharing your knowledge in the form answer to the questions

Forums - It is a place where people can ask queries and discussing about their query through extending their messages anyone can join in that group to leave their helpful information for the query. It is also one of the best places to increase your knowledge.

Quora - Quora is like asking questions on your doubt and getting answers to that. It used to get information, knowledge, reserves for research.

Both are very useful and knowledge gaining sites.

Gatherings: Forums have a huge swath of dialogs, which are generally sorted out by class. All discourses are observed by a director, or a gathering of chairmen, yet any individual from the discussion can start another dialog. The primary post in the discussion is normally similarly as significant as follow-up reactions.
