Reiki Affiliate Programs: Healing and Living

Reiki Affiliate Programs: Healing and Living

REIKI (/ˈreɪkiː/). A Japanese method of relieving stress, initiating relaxation and promoting healing in a sick person by "laying on hands." It is based on the belief that there is a "life force energy" that flows through us, and that when this is low we are more likely to get sick. When it is balanced, we are healthier and more at peace.

Reiki is a part of the bigger alternative healing niche. It is related to the natural health and spirituality niches, just like its close relative, yoga. Both involve meditation, but the two are essentially different. Yoga has its roots in India and is a collection of physical, mental and spiritual practices to achieve control of the body and mind. Reiki focuses on healing, usually another person.

Or so my initial research says.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am not one to believe things like “healing through the mind,” chakras or chi. As my dear Sheldon Cooper of The Big Bang Theory would put it:

Sheldon - Hokum

Is it? It does sound dubious, particularly to people who do not believe in a higher power, chakras or psychic energy. But people who practice it fully believe in the power of this life force energy and the healing that comes from Reiki.

Warming Up: Reiki as a Niche

We can all debate on whether Reiki works to cure our ills, but the numbers show Reiki can make us good money.

There is no specific infographic that shows Reiki as a popular choice in alternative medicine. In fact, it lags behind the more widely-known yoga and acupuncture as healing methods. It was only in 2014 that Reiki became “mainstream,” with 1.2 million Americans having experienced its healing touch.

Alternative medicine, the main niche Reiki belongs too, is doing great. Statistics show it is now a US$30B industry, and is expected to grow as more and more Americans turn to methods like acupuncture, massage therapy and energy healing (a.k.a. Reiki) to manage arthritis and chronic neck and back pains.

With this upward trend in alternative medicine, there is a directly proportional rise in the demand for natural health professionals. Natural health professionals tend to combine Reiki with other methods, usually healing massages, so the demand for training on Reiki is also on the rise. The training can take anywhere from a few months to a year, and no certification is required to practice it. Licensed or certified massage therapists earn between US$25 to US$60 an hour, and they can earn more from teaching Reiki and other alternative methods of healing.

If there’s wide interest in the niche, you’ll be sure to find blogs dedicated to it. For the Reiki niche, you’ll come across its top blogs: Reiki Medicine with Pamela Miles, Reiki Rays and Reiki For Your Life. These websites enjoy thousands of visits daily, with ReikiRays.com leading with an average of over 250K visits each month.

As blogs tend to go these days, these Reiki websites have more than just information. They have evolved to offer consultation and training on Reiki. Some offer eBooks, which is what you’d most likely do if you were to go into this niche.

“Reiki” All Over?

No. “Reiki” isn’t the only keyword you will use on your Reiki website.

There’s “energy healing,” which is another name for it. “Massage therapy,” "healing touch” and “touch therapy” are also other variations you can include in your list. You can try “alternative healing” and “pain management,” too.

Below is a screenshot of some keywords that came up in my search in AffiloTools. The monthly search values don’t look too good, but competition is low.

Reiki Keywords - Affilotools Results

Always check the “Related Keywords” results. You just might find a few good ones to add to your list. As it happens, for the Reiki niche, there are plenty of information keywords you can add.

If you find you’re running low on keywords to target, then check out Ubersuggest.io for variations on the main keywords. Sales pages and product pages of the products you’ll promote are also good sources of keywords, particularly crisis keywords.

Reiki Affiliate Programs

Without further ado, following are a few Reiki affiliate programs you can promote on your spirituality website:

The Reiki Store - Reiki Affiliate Programs

1. The Reiki Store

At first glance, you’d think this would be the one-stop shop for everything Reiki, and Garry and Adele, the Reiki masters behind the Reiki Store, would want it to be so.

They offer a complete training program on Reiki, “The Essence of Reiki.” The course is a digital product you can access from their website. They also sell the "Reiki Master Teacher Premium Training Toolkit."

How much can I make?
50% on each sale.

How do I apply?
They have an affiliate page you can go to for more information. They are under the ClickBank affiliate network, though, so you need to register with ClickBank before you can promote them.

Pure Reiki HEaling Mastery - Reiki Affiliate Programs

2. Pure Reiki Healing Mastery

Pure Reiki Healing Mastery, like the Reiki Store, sells home training courses.

They too have an affiliate page you can go to for more info. Like the Reiki Store, they are part of the ClickBank affiliate network.

Elemental Chi Institute - Reiki Affiliate Programs

3. Elemental Chi Institute

Elemental Chi started as a Reiki website, until its founder decided to widen her knowledge to cover all other forms of healing. The website offers services such as Ayurvedic consultation and coaching on top of Reiki courses.

How do I apply?
They have an affiliate page, but their courses are part of and sold through YesCourse.

Reiki Awakening Academy - Reiki Affiliate Programs

Similar to the preceding Reiki affiliate programs, Reiki Awakening Academy offers both online classes and books.

This is another digital course on channeling that energy towards healing.

Reiki Portal run their own affiliate program. You can register as an affiliate directly from their affiliate page.

Not strictly a Reiki affiliate program, but they do offer books on Reiki, and everything else related to it.

Energy-Filled Strategies for Building Traffic

Idle mind, idle hands, idle website. You don’t want any of that.

Once the website is set up, the next big step is to get people to visit it—and purchase any product or service you’re promoting in it.

There are various ways to drive traffic to a website, and it’s easy to get stumped over which method to go with first. A link-building strategy, even just a rough draft of how you’ll get traffic to your website, will greatly help.

Following are a few methods you can include in your link-building strategy for the Reiki niche:

Blog and Forum Commenting

Generally, we humans share a need to know more than we do now, and to share what we already know. And so, you’ll find on the Internet all sorts of information about all sorts of topics with, at the very least, one blog and one forum devoted to them.

Reiki as a subject is no different, so you won’t have a difficult time finding websites on which to promote your Reiki site and affiliate products. You can also visit websites and forums about chronic pain and pain management, since these are the problems Reiki is usually used to heal. HealthyPages.com and PainDoctor.com are good places to start.

Social Media Marketing

Regular Niche of the Week readers are familiar with this already, and will not be at all surprised that this is part of our recommended link building strategy. In fact, this is becoming a must for practically any website in any niche.

You may not have a Facebook or Twitter account, but several million people do, including people looking for ways to help ease chronic pain and lessen anxiety. Set up a Facebook page and drive that traffic to your website.

That sounds a lot easier than it really is. This method, like forum and blog commenting, takes time, but the long-term effects are worth every effort.

Entrepreneur.com has a few articles on social media marketing and how it helps boost your marketing efforts.

Guest Post

I’d like to think of this method as a result of doing well at blog and forum commenting. See, if you make a good reputation for yourself and your website in the forums and blogs, you tend to get invitations to write guest posts.

And if you don’t, you can send out emails to website owners to ask if they'll accept one.

Once they say yes, you submit your article so they can publish it on their website. That’s further publicity for your site, and has the potential to get you traffic from a more popular website.

This Affilorama blog post on guest posting gives a solid background on why you should add this method to your link-building plan: 6 Ways Guest Posting Can Help.

At the end of every Niche of the Week post is the inevitable question of “Should I or not?” The answer depends entirely on you.

The Reiki niche is no different from the other niches I’ve covered for Niche of the Week. It comes with its own challenges, particularly in link building and inbound marketing, so write down a plan as early as the site-building stage.

The commissions are good enough, but it’s really up to you to decide if they’re worth the effort. My main concern here is that it’s mostly eBooks you’ll be promoting here, and not everyone wants to do that. There’s a 50-50 chance your potential target market is going to want actual lessons with a Reiki master instead of learning through a book, so be ready with a Reiki affiliate program for lessons.

Other than that, there’s nothing else to stop you from going into this niche. One great thing about it is its relation to the more popular yoga, so that’s another niche you can eventually branch out to.

I hope you enjoyed this week’s NOTW. Be sure to share this post through any of the links below, and leave a comment! I would love to hear from you!
