How many internal links are required in a blog post?

How many internal links are permissible in a blog post?

 There is no hard rule about the number of internal links in a blog post, even Google has no say bout this. If these links are helpful to your blog post, then it does not matter how many you place in it.

 There is no such as any limitation, you can build many links but you need to keep in your mind always that add only those links in blog who are really helpful and justify your blog content and linked words.

 You can create one or two internal links in your blogs it is helpful for increasing website ranking and that link related to your blog content.

I ask this question because some audit site claimed that I had too many internal links.

 You need to balance your internal and external links. It is a question on how many you have placed on the site :)

 There is no particular limit for internal linking in your website. So you can target how many you want. It helps to pass the link juice from one page to another page

Sorry to get you confused. The error can be pertaining to the entire page or website, not the content only. Also, some checkers have their own set of rules. Like I have said, there is no hard rule on the number of internal and external links on your website. However, you need to gauge that there is no too much internal/external links that your website looks very spammy.

 Internal links. "Well, the number of links each page is almost always a weird question. As long as your hyperlinks are useful for your users, it is okay. There was a rule of no more than 100 links on a page at the Google Webmaster Guidelines, they've removed that rule though.
