Searching For Quality Sites For Link Building

Hello all. Its time to ask some specific and more generic question. People do used to ask where to find the quality web sites for link building. But What if i ask that if i have found a website which looks like a quality website then how should i analyse it that its a quality website? Should i check its PR, DA, Traffic, OBL or something more complicated?

Hi Faisal,

Yes, you can look at a site's PrRand traffic. Most of the time I look at the site's content and it is related to or in the same niche as my site. If it looks spammy or riddled with ads, I move on. If a site has informative content and there are helpful discussions within the articles ( through the comments), then I link to it, regardless of PR and traffic.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

I'd like to second what Cecile said. The numbers are somewhat important, but not the whole deal. The most important thing, in my opinion is to link to sites/articles that you or your viewers will find helpful...things that they would have a hard time finding anywhere else. People are looking for substance and weight, not spam & ads so do your best to give it to them.

Hi. I usually check out the site's page rank and usually link to sites with PR of 1 and above. Content must be relevant and somehow related ( not exactly similar ) to my niche.

Here are a couple sites where you can put in a URL and it will give you stats on what kind of site it is, it gives you pr ratings, an idea of how many back links it has and if google has had any trouble with the site. http://www.highqualitybacklinks.com/backlink-checker/ I use this one the most because it is fast but I also use this one as well http://www.linkdiagnosis.com/index.php. Both give good info and you just have to decide if after looking over there results if you want to link to the site.

Page rank is just one factor in the backlinking process. You will want to know how much authority the site holds with Google. Do a quick search for your keyword search term. Which sites rank highly for the term searched? Most of those really high ranking sites will be considered authoritative.

I think the question is not about what links to include in your posts, but what external sites should you get links FROM.

That's how I read it anyway?

I know it's important to link to high quality, top notch original content though.

Formulating a successful link building campaign is not as easy as it once was, given that there is now a far greater emphasis on reliability, quality links. These days, for a small business, a good link profile will normally have fewer links, instead focusing on having a small number of links on quality, original and relevant websites
