Affilorama Member Creates Own Product ($100 commissions)

Hey Guys,

I just wanted to let you know that I've created my own product with the help of my girlfriend.

We're in the relationship advice niche and our product is called the Ex Solution Program (ESP). It helps people going through a breakup save their relationship and get their partner back by working on mindset and self-esteem (rather than petty jealousy tactics, like some other products in this niche).

We are mostly selling through an autoresponder.

I know that's a little different from how other people do it in this niche, but since our product is at a higher price point, it helps to build up trust before closing the sale.

The product is $147 and offers a 75% affiliate commission (that works out to about $100 for you after the all the CB fees...)

Currently conversion rates are great. The average our affiliates are seeing is a $1.30 EPC sent to the squeeze page.

We're constantly working at improving those numbers too.

Anyway, the product is an online interactive course with about 4 hours of video lessons, MP3, and PDF transcripts. Plus customers can ask questions and get feedback from us, so it's a lot more engaging than an ebook.

We also can do a live webinar with your list too, if you'd rather do it that way.

Our webinar converts at around 24%, and does pretty well live.

 Hey I just unlocked this niche for my ajp site and I am probably going to start this one in a few months. It sounds definately better to concentrate on mindset and self-esteem than on jealousy tactics. I really think that this is the real deal.

I just looked into your sales page. I noticed a little issues at the bottom of the page where the text is a little bit disordered. Maybe you are aware of that, It just doesnt look right when the text is well structured and suddenly goes from one end of my monitor to the other ;)

Anyway, I will definately use your program, once I have set up my site :)

Congrats on creating your own product. I can only imagine all the blood sweet, and tears that would have gone into to putting it all together.

Your sales page looks very professional. Just wondering if you'd be able to share what course or system you followed when creating your product and how you were able to get a pr 3 ranking for it.

Pleased to hear that you aren't having any problems selling your product and that things are starting to pick up. I'll definitely look into promoting it once I get onto working on my next site.

@esolutions, Thank you for putting my product in your "to promote" queue. If there's anything I can do to help you out, please let me know. I'm an affiliate marketer myself and I know it can be difficult to promote stuff without the proper tools.

@richmannow, I have a PR 3? I didn't even know that :)

Anyway, I've just had my own affiliate sites in this market for a while now and I just diverted some traffic to the new product. That's really it! I guess that somehow makes a PR3 website!

@mhtconsultancy, Thanks. I don't track Alexa rankings much. Currently the sales page gets about 30 - 50 visitors per day. Still a long way to go, but at least I've started the journey :)

 Hey everyone. Thank you for your comments over the past few months.

Anyway, I'm excited to share some info with you.

After some split testing on price, it does not appear that sales significantly decrease when the price is raised as high as $97. Since the conversion rate hasn't fallen off yet, it means that the price isn't "too high" yet.

Over the month of February, I'm going to be reformatting ESP to be an 8 week online course. I think this will justify a higher price, plus I feel that an online course format (similar to AB or AJP) will encourage customers to actually use the information and get real feedback from us and real results rather than just skimming over an ebook.

I'm going to try testing price points of $147, $197, and maybe higher if the numbers support it.

What this means for you: Big commissions!

I'll need to convert this to an "online course" format and test the pricing, but here are some numbers to think about:

At a $147 price, with 75% commission, you will earn about $100 in commissions (after CB transaction fees).

At a $197 price, with 75% commission, you will earn about $135 in commissions (after CB transaction fees).

I am very excited about this and hope that some of you might be interested in jumping on board once the new course is ready to go :)

I'm actually making two products right now... So much work, but also so much fun!

@esolutions, No, the new version of the product is not ready yet. I expect it to be done by the end of February 2012.

Are you interested in promoting it? If so, what sorts of affiliate tools would be most helpful to you? I've been a full-time affiliate since 2009, so I know how important taking care of affiliates is. If there is anything in particular you need, please let me know so that I can make sure we offer it :)

I did a bit of research and once this is complete, this will be the highest-paying "get your ex back" product on clickbank (and probably most comprehensive!). Conversions will probably be lower than other products due to the price, but I'm going to make sure that the EPC makes up for it :)

I know that a lot of affiliates in this market do not have one. After adding one on my own sites, I noticed a significant improvement in conversion rates.

In general, it takes about 2 or 3 visits to the sales page before someone decides to purchase. An autoresponder helps to make sure that visitors would get added exposure to the sales page (and increase the likelihood that they purchase).

If it would make it easier for you, I could collect leads you send me onto an email list and then close the sale through my own autoresponder.

However, I know that many affiliates are wary of vendors capturing leads from a squeeze page since some have re-cookied the leads with their own affiliate link (thus robbing affiliates of their commission). Of course I wouldn't do this... I'm just curious if:

a.) You have your own autoresponder already?
b.) If not, would you it be appealing to send traffic to my squeeze page so I could close the sale with my autoresponder?

Way cool that you have your own product.

Just a thought; Give potential affiliates everything they need in your affiliate center to start their own list. Maybe 5 or so auto responder messages, and perhaps a couple squeeze page templates and a give-away report.

 Hi Clayton,

In addition to the above, a solo blast type email, product images, possibly a few case studies or "customer profiles". If you want to get creative and serious, then developing a webinar that we could invite leads to is one of the more effective ways to close, especially with higher ticket items.

I've had mixed results with other products in this niche so I am very interested in getting something high quality that can really help people and convert well for me too.

 Hey everyone, sorry for the delay in everything...

We had a few technical difficulties (coupled with a throat cold, which made recording audio difficult...).

Anyway, we are ready to roll with the new product.

The general idea is to sell it with a webinar. I've got my hands on the template for a webinar that converts at around 30%.

The first round is going to take place on May 3rd.

I can't make any promises at this point, but we're going to be doing a lot of testing and tracking.

This is pretty revolutionary for this niche. A product at this price point with a commission of over $100. My previous testing has told me not to underestimate this niche, so I am excited to see how this goes.

 Hey everyone...

Just wanted to stop by and give you an update. We did our first two webinars. The first one wasn't very good due to some details that I accidentally overlooked.

But we corrected course and made a few changes before doing a second webinar.

For the second webinar, we had a conversion rate of 11% from the attendees. From an EPC standpoint, that works out to $2.77 earning per click sent to the registration page. Since, we're giving affiliates 75%, that works out to about $2.08 EPC for affiliates.

This is just preliminary data at this point, but so far it looks good. If these numbers hold up (or even improve) I'd be really happy. My ultimate end goal here is to try to work up to a $4 or $5 EPC

What I really think is great too is that the visitors who sign up for the webinar really love the content! (I never get people thanking me for my sales videos or sales letters, but they *LOVE* this presentation!).

 Update on the ESP Webinar

So, now that we've got a bit more data...

Conversion rates on the webinar are at 15.6%!

Not all of them buy directly on the webinar, but many buy a few hours or a few days afterwards.

These numbers are good, but I still know there's room for growth :)

We're also looking at putting together an automated webinar that plays a few times per week, since I understand that leads in this niche can go "cold" if you leave them waiting for too long...

A Second Product in the Works...

We're gearing up to launch a second product near the middle of June / late June.

This one is going to be a much larger and more comprehensive online course than ESP. It will be geared toward people in relationships who are having trouble and on the verge of breakup or divorce. It will teach them the foundations of how to have a healthy relationship.

We're not sure on the price point just yet, but I was thinking that for the launch it would be a 2-pay of $97 ($194 total). Then after the launch, the price would be $247 (or a 3-pay of $97).

I'm not entirely settled on this, so take those prices with a grain of salt.

After the launch, we will be focusing primarily on webinars to sell the product, same as ESP.

Anyway, more details will be posted here soon once ClickBank approves the product.

 I'm drafting a course in an unrelated niche, E-book and printed version both (and not in English for its first edition) and It's encouraging to read about your success.

In my view webinars are a great tool for a vast range of subjects and especialy so when the target audience is urgently looking for what you have to offer.
I suppose there's a lot of competition in your niche? That gives the more weight to the client comments you got!

 hey good on you for creating a product. I have also but I think I've got the niche all wrong. Add to this that I just wouldn't know where to start to organise a webinar and monetize sales off the back of it. I suppose it isn;'t all that difficult when you know what you are doing. I've been off the radar here at Affilorama for a few months, but I just wanted to stop by and give an update.

We ditched the auto-webinars since they weren't converting as well as live webinars, and now we're selling through an autoresponder.

We're constantly split testing our sqeeze page and sales page, but our autoresponder gets a gross earnings of $5.21 per opt-in. Our current squeeze page gets about a 33% opt-in rate, so that works out to a gross value of $1.74 per click sent to the squeeze page, or about a $1.30 affiliate commission when you factor in the 75% commission.

That's just the average, your results may vary.

We're constantly working at improving this too.
